Implementing Our Design Recommendations and Allowing Us to Stage Got This Corona Home Sold Quickly!
This home in Corona, California, sat on the market for three months virtually staged with no offers, so the homeowners called me in for a quote on physical staging. All of my home staging clients receive complimentary design recommendations after they submit payment and sign the contract for staging services, and these homeowners did themselves a huge favor my following all of my design recommendations before my team and I returned to visually merchandise this Corona home staging project.
Corona Home Staging Project: Staircase Makeover

The homeowners had already torn up all the outdated carpeting you see in the photo on the left and replaced it with the light wood flooring you see on the right. But that created the issue of the wood on the staircase not matching the wood tone in the flooring, which was the first thing that stood out to me as soon as I walked through the front door. This means it was also the first thing that buyers were noticing when they walked in, as well. I recommended that they paint all of staircase newels and handrails white to match the spindles.
Corona Home Staging Project: Kitchen Makeover & Staging

The kitchen in this Corona home staging project had red and white checkered wallpaper on the walls, which had been there since before my clients had purchased the home a couple of decades earlier. So not only was the color and pattern outdated, this wallpaper was also in poor condition. I explained that this was probably one of the biggest reasons their home hadn't received any offers yet and recommended they have the wallpaper removed, and the walls painted white. I also recommended that while they were receiving quotes from painters to remove the wallpaper and repaint the walls to ask for a quote to paint the cabinetry, too. And, as you can see, they moved forward on painting the cabinets, which made a huge difference.
I often get asked "where did you purchase that?", so I've included links in this article to many of the items we used for home staging Corona.

The homeowners followed my advice to paint the bathroom cabinets in addition to the kitchen cabinets. I recommended white for all, but the homeowners went rogue and chose the taupe color you see below for the primary en suite bath, which also works.

Below you can see they also followed my recommendations to paint the wood around the built-in entertainment center in the family room, and you can see how it blends in nicely now.

Corona Home Staging Project: Living Room Staging

In the before and after photos of the formal living room above, you can see none of the items in the left image are compatible with each other. Professional staging fixed that.

A trick a lot of us home stagers use to create larger coffee tables is to combine two or more identical tables like we did above, and you can create an even bigger table by combining three.
Corona Home Staging Project: Dining Room Staging
I don't have the rights to the images of the virtually staged spaces in this Corona home staging project, so I can't show you what the dining room below looked like virtually staged before we came in and furnished it, but I can assure you it wasn't doing anything to get this home sold faster. I was also able to convince the homeowners to remove the red window valances and replace the chandelier.

The homeowners didn't want to replace the dark brown wooden ceiling fan or dark brown wood blinds, and he had these two bookcases he didn't want any longer and asked if we wanted them. Whenever faced with a room where two wood tones are present, I roll with it by mixing wood tones and varying shades of brown to pull it all together.
